Choosing In The Correct Airport Simplifies Uk Flights

When flying in the UK you will probably be flying into or out of London. For the best flight experience as well as the easiest connections, you will need to know which airport will give you the best connection and is most cost effective for your UK flights.

Try to avoid the mistake of only considering the cheapest flight to London. Your final destination should determine which airport you choose. The whole point of a flight is to save time, so you will not want to fly into the wrong airport and then have to spend more time and money on the train. London City airport is the closest of all the airports to the city center of London. It is also the smallest of all or London's airports. The small size of this airport can work in your favor. Heathrow airport is large and sprawling. If you plan to leave the country, you will want to use Heathrow airport. This airport is connected to central London with a fifteen minute journey by rail on the Heathrow Express.

The Gatwik airport offers excellent choices for connections by way of the Gatwik express and other train services. Rail service to either central London or Brighton are fairly simple through the rail station that is located on-site. This station was one of the first located in an airport.

Lutton does not offer an on-site railway station, but does have shuttles buses that will take you to the station at no charge. Connections from this station are easy to King's Cross and St. Pancras. Many offer non-stop service to central London.

For travel to Essex or even East London, the Stansted Airport make great sense; however getting to central London will take forty-five to fifty minutes to travel the 34 miles to the station on Liverpool Street. The cost for the trip is 15. 50 pounds.

London is a great place to visit. It is a central location for many historic happenings that affected the U. K. And the rest of the world. In 2012 the Olympic Games will come to London.
