The German language presents itself as a language that is great in more ways than one to learn. The degree to which the language is spoken across the globe, emphasises its place as one of the most beneficial languages that can be learnt.

Learn to speak German and you will be learning a language that is the official spoken language of Germany, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland, just to name a few. The advantages that one gains from learning the German language don't stop at the fact that its spoken by an estimated 180 million native and non-native speakers across the globe. There are however a number of reasons that suggest learning to speak the German language can be one of the smartest decisions anyone could make.

Germany is one of the largest economies of the world and is one of the largest centres of trade in not only Europe but in the entire world. Furthermore the advantages and benefits one would gain from learning German before travelling throughout Europe are countless. Germans love to see foreigners learn to adapt to their culture and lifestyle and many costly advantages draw out of knowing the language when travelling throughout Germany.

With over 80 million non-native speakers learning the language worldwide and experiencing the many rewarding benefits of speaking German its no wonder that the European Union sees German as an official language of their unification.

One way to learn the German language for free and get a basic comprehension of its structure is to use freely available podcasts online to learn to speak German fast. This has provided a convenient method for a great deal of speakers around the world.

There are lots of podcasts available throughout the internet. A simple Google search would find a number of them. However one popular location to find them is through iTunes. There are literally stacks of individual lessons available out there to get you started.

Be careful and choose wisely. There are a number of good podcasts out there that will teach you to speak the basics of the German language fast; however there are also a number of poor ones. Look for the ratings of the podcasts and download a number of them and see which ones are best for you!
